Governor Polis Safer at Home Order
On May 25, Governor Polis extended the Safer at Home Order until June 1. Until further direction is given, the playground and Sailfish Room will be closed. Pool opening is currently under review as well, and future updates on registration will be posted on this page and on the Pool and Facilities pages. The board will work to develop scheduling options to accommodate opening the pool, playground and indoor facilities as safely and as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience while we open the district facilities safely!
Sundance Hills Metropolitan District’s contractors and service providers are all open and following safe practices to deliver daily activities and functions for your community.
The District’s Board wants to assure everyone that basic maintenance by JBK, MPM Recreation Management, Circuit Rider of Colorado will continue, so rest assured the park will be collected and we will begin facility opening for the season when it is safe to do so!
On March 10th, Gov. Jared Polis declared a “state of emergency” here in Colorado, and the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has risen past 160 since that time.
Please note that all facilities at the district will be closed until further notice.
We encourage people to not use tennis courts, playgrounds and other public spaces where transmission might occur. PLEASE NOTE THESE FACILITIES WILL NOT BE CLEANED. If you do choose to use these spaces, please take in to account these best practices:
The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.
Stay home when you are sick.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Avoid sharing cups and eating utensils with others.
To keep your family, community and self safe, the board appreciates adult supervision while your kids are out of school and venture outside for needed activity and play to limit issues like potential exposure, vandalism, and especially to keep everyone healthy in our small community and beyond.
